Water Catchment Wildlife Sanctuary is one of world’s most beautiful  Adventure Travel & Backpacking destinations; located north of kufri, 8 Kms East of Shimla at an altitude of 1915 m to 2750 m, is a 20 minute drive from the city, via the Sanjauli-Dhalli Tunnel.  It is connected by a forest corridor to Chail Wildlife Sanctuary in the South. It Comprises a moderately steep catchment which is the main water supply for Shimla. Nine perennial streams flow from this area, the main ones being Churat Nala and God Ki Nala. Mean annual rainfall is 1600mm and temperatures range from 5.4 C to 32 C. It is a famous Tiger Reserve that encompasses the Shivaliks, near the foothills of the Himalayas. The park is spread over 820 km2 and three districts of Uttarakhand; Saharanpur, Dehradun and Pauri Garhwal. In 1983, three wildlife sanctuaries in the area namely, Chilla, Motichur and Rajaji sanctuaries were merged into one. It is nestled between the Shivalik ranges and the Indo-Gangetic plains. Broadleaved deciduous forests, riverine vegetation, scrubland, grasslands and pine forests form the range of flora in this park. This beautiful wildlife sanctuary which is world famous for Leopard & Tiger is located near Hingani in Wardha District of Maharahtra, India. Best time to travel here is between October to June. Here we can see Royal Bengal Tiger, Leopard, Blue Bull, Wild Dog, Chital, Sambar Deer, Barking Deer,Monkey, Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Porcupine, Fly Catcher, Peacock, Vulture, Eagle, Egret, Neelkanth & Rufous Treepai. It’s 30 Kms from Wardha & 55 Kms from Nagpur. Nagpur Airport , Nagpur Bus Stand, Wardha Bus Stands are near by but It’s 5 Kms from Hingni Bus Stand.
